This week, we’re diving into the primary behavioral traps that quietly eat away at body image—many of which you may be unknowingly engaging in—and sharing strategies to help you recognize these patterns, loosen their grip, and take meaningful steps toward a more peaceful relationship with your body.
I believe deeply that helping parents heal their own body image is one of the most powerful forms of prevention we can offer our kids. The more body image savvy we become, the better equipped we are to recognize when our children are starting to fall into these same traps—and to support them with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
When we interrupt harmful patterns in ourselves, we create more space for connection, freedom, and joy—for everyone in the family. This work isn’t just about feeling better in our own skin (though that’s reason enough!). It’s also about building a home where body trust can grow—and where we’re ready to guide our kids through a culture that often pulls them away from it.
